Food Trial: Canary Melon

As mentioned previously, I wanted to trial the canary melon. I figured that it would be safe because it is similar to a cantaloupe and a honeydew. I decided to go ahead and serve a piece last night.

I saw a few of the Fenwick micros taking a bite out of the melon. For myself, it tasted similar to a honeydew, but slightly less sweet. I actually really liked it, unlike papaya (which I think tastes similar to vomit).

So, for now, it seemed like the crabs enjoyed it. There are a lot of pincher marks in it. We'll have to see how the molts go before determining whether it is safe or not.
