Dealing With Death

This post is in dedication to Hokkaido, my first Ruggie, who passed away sometime last night. I managed to find him when Pompeii (Ecuadorian) dug above the Eco-Earth. His body was revealed there and I realized I had lost my extotic little buddy.

In order to deal with the death of a hermit crab, it takes a great amount of understanding and curiosity. I am scanning through all of the different reasons he could have died, but it seems that PPS (Post-Purchase Syndrome) is what he had succumbed to.
The stress from being shipped from an exotic country into a pet store is hard for all exotic animals, which is why everyone should promote not shipping these animals. I am very sorry that my Hokkaido could not make it.
